"As above, so below..."

Bodhichitta is a vision to walk the Eightfold Path of Buddhism (Right View, Intention, Speech, Action, Livlihood, Effort, Mindfulness and Concentration)  while giving to others.  Bodhichitta Winery creates Right Livlihood for Mark and his winemaking team and in return donates the proceeds from the Bodhichitta Winery label to charity. 

Our second label, a line of tropical fruit wines, and its tasting room in Waikiki, will be a for-profit label.  Mark will use the proceeds from the sale of these wines to establish a vineyard in Oregon along with orchards (apple, olive and other fruit trees), a lavender field, winery site and eventually, the retreat center, home of the Bodhichitta Foundation, modeled after Portland's Japanese Gardens.

The Bodhichitta Foundation will be a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that will provide a refuge from the distractions and angst of modern society.  The healing arts (yoga, tai chi, meditation, blessings, etc) will take center stage in a natural, holistic environment nutured by organic, natural, home-grown foods. 

Guidance and counseling will be able for those seeking their path, truth and light.  Extended stays are envisioned for those desiring to change their lives and follow the path of Right Livelihood.  Room and board may be exchanged for whatever useful skill can be brought to bear for the retreat center.  Right work along with quiet and thoughtful contemplation will enable the path to unfold before those seeking it.
